Zambian players dedicate well deserved win to the "Team of 1993", who all lost their lives in an horrific plane crash.

The Tournament might have been disappointing, but it more than made up for it in the Finals. Going all the way to

Penalty shootout; eventually beating COTE D’IVOIRE 7-8..

Only one word to describe this final...: EPIC!!

....until next year..peace..

AFCN THE Final

11 Feb 2012 22:15:03

Oh well, it has been such a let down. An anti-climax for the fans of the Black Stars. This was a golden opportunity for for Ghana to atleast reach the Finals, but they got knocked out by Zambia; and now they've just been beating by Mali. Who takes 3rd place a few hours ago in Malabo.

"Now onto the next 1". The Final is tomorrow in Libreville:

COTE D’IVOIRE (favourites)  vs.    ZAMBIA

Africa CUP of Nations 2012!!

20 Jan 2012 23:41:12

It all kicks off tomorrow in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon. 3 weeks of scintillating, breath-taking football! The only difference this time is the usual suspects are not present! No Cameroon, no Nigeria, and no defending Champion Egypt. So for the first time in 20 years, a new nation will lift the Trophy. Already people are saying "this is Ivory Coast year", with the likes of Drogba, the Touare Brothers, but I not too sure if you were to consider their last few Big stage performances. "Smart money" will be on the Black Stars of Ghana. Young and now experienced in Europe.
We at neWear have got you "covered" when it comes to showing your support...see our Patriot Nation Tee Range.
Who do you think will win?

With this show of strength by Barca it's almost a given that they will be favorites to lift the Europe Cup again! CHAMPIONAY CHAMPIONAY!!
